Jicoteando is an outreach initiative with the goal of connecting teachers and conservation enthusiast in Puerto Rico with resources, training and outreach activities while building a body of community drive research to study the native slider turtle Jicotea Puertorriqueña (Trachemys stejnegeri stejnegeri). In pursuit of these goals we are providing training and hosting community driven bio blitz via the use of the platform iNaturalist.
